- Nov 12th – Dec 12, 2021– Fall Foliage Driving Trails – Palestine, Texas – Start in Palestine and take the Pineywoods Autumn Trail, a 145-mile road trip which includes historical markers and magnificent fall colors sure to satisfy the whole family! Autumn color is expected mid to late November. See driving map here.
- November 10th- January 3rd, 2021- Christmas Land of Lights in Athens, Texas. 6pm-10pm every night. It is located at Loop 7 and Patterson Road in the East Texas city of Athens. The park is more than 1 mile long and has over 4 million lights, including more than 60 scenes and 50 motion controlled lighted scenes in addition to 6 tunnels and 14 arches, and 2000 wood cutouts. - Wild Turkey Golf Tournament Sponsored by Palestine Toyota – The Wild Turkey Classic brought to you by Palestine Toyota. 2 person teams, (limit of 20 teams) shot gun start, prizes, laughs & networking. $5,000 PUTTING CONTEST. WIN A TOYOTA TUNDRA! This is a great local course run by Palestine High School. Bring a solid, short game to get up and down for par. Nine-hole Wildcat Golf Course (formerly known as Meadowbrook Country Club) serves up fairways lined with east Texas pines and a creek that impacts play on six of the nine holes. No. 1 plays only 300 yards, and there are a few other short holes. The most difficult is No. 7, a 218-yard par 3 that plays as a par 4 for the ladies. 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Registration 7am. - Saturday November 13th- ETBA Fall 2021 Parade of Homes, 1pm-6pm. Various locations. The Parade of Homes is the best opportunity to visit with local builders and see the latest home trends. Technology, appliances, home design and interior/exterior features are always changing and improving in the building industry. The Parade of Homes™ is a Spring & Fall event and is one of the most important fundraisers for the non-profit organization—East Texas Builders Association (ETBA). This event, which made its inaugural debut in 2020, is sure to have something for everyone in the family from shopping, music and eating, as well as a car show! Over 140 years old, the Historic Bowers Mansion is a stunning location, one of Palestine’s most beautiful historic homes. However, beneath that eye-pleasing facade, the home hides a dark secret – it was the scene of a murder-suicide back in the ’50s, and there’ve been numerous suspicious deaths in the home over the years. Somewhat of a local legend, until recently no other paranormal group has been able to investigate this Texas Historic Landmark. - Saturday December 4th, 2021- Hearth & Tinsel Tour Of Homes- *Check with the chamber on dates–this event has been posted as being on both Friday or Saturday, and it’s a 1-day only event, so not sure which one is correct* A must see if you want to get a glimpse of some of the incredible architecture of Palestine decorated for the Christmas holidays! One day only, these homes will be open for touring from 4-7 pm. This year’s Tour of Homes will feature properties, with varying architectural styles from years gone by. Tickets available at the Chamber office and participating homes during tour.

- Saturday December 4th, 2021 – Star Party Saturday at The Earth and Space Science Center – 1411 East Lake Street, Tyler, Texas (Tyler Junior College)- Come see what is visible in tonight’s sky! Join us for monthly star parties. Telescopes will be available for viewing (weather permitting) and there will be astronomy buffs to help you navigate your way around the night sky. Free live planetarium shows will be offered in our domed theater at 8:00, 8:30, and 9:00PM. Tickets are free, but reservations are required. *In the event of inclement weather, telescopes may not be available, but the planetarium shows will still be offered.

- Sunday December 5th, 2021- Azalea District Trail of Lights-Azalea National Historic District, Tyler, Texas.- Take a self guided walking or driving tour through the historic Azalea District. You’ve seen the beautiful colors of the Azalea District during the spring; now see the historic homes come to life with color, once again, as they are “dressed” up for the holiday season in all their splendor. - Friday & Saturday December 10th-11th, 2021, 5pm-9pm – Pineywoods Christmas at Tyler State Park- Tyler State Park presents: A Pineywoods Christmas Friday, December 10 and Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 5p.m. to 9 p.m. encouraging families and friends of all ages to get outdoors, take a break from the holiday rush, and enjoy the season. Everyone is invited to stroll or drive-through the Lakeview and Big Pine Campgrounds to see a camper-made holiday wonderland. Each camper decorates their site in its own unique holiday scene. - December 10th-19th: ELF The Musical at the Texas Theatre in Palestine –Curtain is at 7:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:00 PM on Sundays. There will be an opening night reception at 6:30 PM on the 10th with food provided.The storyline for this musical comedy sponsored by Mary Alice Largent of EXP Realty is similar to the 2003 New Line Cinema film with Will Ferrell that follows Buddy, the “elf.” He was an orphan in the big city, climbed into Santa’s sack one Christmas, and was taken back to the North Pole accidentally. Buddy was taken in by the elves and raised as one of their own. When he learns the truth of his human nature, he sets out on an adventure to find his family in the Big Apple. In the process, he “finds” himself, helps his father move off the Naughty List, and gets all of New York back to believing in Santa and the Christmas Season.

Somewhat of a local legend, until recently no other paranormal group has been able to investigate this Texas Historic Landmark.
