All I can say is WOW…it’s November?! I’m pretty sure we just did the New Year’s countdown last week, right!? Time is a fickle mistress. Yet alas, here we are—November! Cold weather is coming and it’s a great chance to get a jump (err…catch up) on some home maintenance before the busy insanity of the holidays hits with full force!

The Palestine Hot Pepper festival is almost like a local holiday--everyone goes to the festival! (and for good reason! It's a blast!) The weather was great--a fabulous mixture of a nice breeze hitting your slightly sweaty skin--what more can you ask for for Hot Pepper Festival day! We hit the highlights--the food alley (corny dogs are my favorite festival guilty pleasure and a definite must for me) and checked out the kid's zone and the parade. Unfortunately, I didn't get to make it to the live music on Saturday night, but I heard it was GREAT! (There's always next year!) It was another great festival in a great town! Now for a few thousand pics from the festival: (Just kidding, I tried to keep it under 20 pics! haha)

It’s that time of year where ghosts, goblins and witches are everywhere. The tombstones are in the yards and they might even have a pile of bones sticking out for dramatic effect. It’s a fun and escapist time of year and one of my favorites, for sure. Everyone loves a haunted house at Halloween, but what if it is a real-life “haunted” house? What does it mean when you want to sell your “haunted” house? Does a ghost add $5,000 to the asking price? Does the ghost need to pay rent?
