May 28th-30^th Weekend

• May 28^th, 2021- A Night at The Haunted Museum in Palestine, Texas-Friday at 7 PM CDT – 12 AM CDT and Saturday May 29^th, 2021.Tickets: www.hauntedrooms.com/texas/ghost-hunts/haunted-museum-palestine-tx   Full Exclusive Access to the Museum for an entire night of investigating with the Haunted Rooms America Team! Includes use of equipment, drinks & snacks, tour, and investigation! Over 100 years old, and housing thousands of historical artifacts, The Museum for East Texas Culture is believed to be one of the most haunted buildings in East Texas, and certainly one of the most haunted former schools in the entire state.
• May 29^th, 2021- 90th Athens Old Fiddlers Reunion – Athens, TX. The longest running fiddle contest in Texas! Carnival, jam sessions, live music, street dances, food vendors, all ages fun! As always, Old Fiddlers is a FREE event! The Athens Old Fiddlers Contest and Reunion is known nationwide and (as far as we know), is the oldest such contest that has run continuously year after year in Texas at the Henderson County Courthouse Square in Athens, Texas.
• May 27th-30^th 24th Annual Memorial Day Bluegrass Gospel Festival 2021-Salmon Lake Park Texas, Grapeland TX.Tickets- www.salmonlakepark.com. *Outdoor event so bring your lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Bring your instrument and join the workshops or jump in a jam!*Tickets: $70 Weekend Pass or $25/Day, Stage show starts @ 4pm
• Monday May 31, 2021 – Monday Night Trivia @ Pint & Barrel 7pm-9pm. Monday Night Trivia, where Tom and Alan pick your team’s brain about the randomness of the world just for a chance at a free beer and a week of bragging rights. Monday Night, 7pm, $10 a team

June 4th-6th Weekend

• Jun 4 – Spring Carnival at Broadway Square Mall in Tyler, TX-OPEN DAILY. Weeknights: Open at 6 PM, Saturday & Sunday: Open at 1 PM. Free admission. Ride tickets sold on site.
• June 5, 2021- – Free Fishing with Dad Event – Tyler, TX- Fishing, Food, Prizes & Fun for the entire family. 9am-12pm at Glass Recreation Center, 501 West 32nd Street, Tyler, Texas
• June 4^th-6^th: First Monday Trade Days In Canton, Tx – the biggest trade days around!
• June 4^th, 2021- Pints In The Pines-Texas State Railroad, 6pm-9:30pm.  Pints in the Pines is an adult-only event taking place onboard select Friday evening train rides. The excursion departs the Palestine, TX depot. This event will include a variety of local ales complemented by zesty beer snacks. Frothy favorites ranging from light, summery Kolsch and wheat-rich Hefeweizen to high-octane lagers and IPAs, from coppery-red Scotch ales to dark stouts and chocolate porters, these craft beers may have German roots. This special event, experienced solely onboard the train, is offered in either First Class, the Upper Dome Car, Presidential or even the privately-chartered Caboose. All beers sampled onboard the train, along with other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, will be available for purchase. The return excursion, featuring a final quaff of suds and dessert, allows ample time for all craft beer lovers to savor a full serving of their favorite brew, comparing notes and sharing stories with friends and loved ones. Anyone consuming alcohol aboard Texas State Railroad must be 21 years or older.

• June 5, 2021-Food Packaging Event For United Way – Palestine, TX. 10am. Join the United Way for the biggest volunteer event in Palestine. And the most fun too!  We will be packaging 35,000 meals to stock our Anderson County food pantries this summer to ensure our children have enough food at home while out of school! Must pre-register for event.

June 10-13th Weekend

• Jun 11 -Blueberry Bluegrass Concert in the Park -Nacogdoches, Texas- The Texas Blueberry Festival kicks off with the Blueberry Bluegrass Concert in the Park, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 12 at Festival Plaza in downtown Nacogdoches.
• June 11th-12^th : Texas State Railroad Steam Train Rides- Palestine TX-From the moment your party steps on-board one of our beautifully refurbished train cars, they’ll feel like they’ve been transported to a simpler, more leisurely time where the distractions and of our modern world suddenly disappear. Breathe deep, enjoy a drink and relax as you lose yourself on a round-trip, four-hour, rail journey through the Piney Woods of East Texas where history is just part of the journey. Vintage steam and diesel locomotives take passengers across the celebrated rails of the Piney Woods Route between the quaint East Texas towns of Palestine and Rusk on a 50-mile roundtrip adventure. • Jun 12 -East Texas Summer Kick -Off Festival – Tyler, TX- Join us at the 3rd Annual Summer Kick-Off Festival 2020! Sweet treats, Ice cream and sno-cone vendors will be available as well as other vendors with games and prizes! Lawn chairs and folding chairs are welcome. At TB Butler Square in Downtown Tyler.
• Jun 12th- Gourd Birdhouse & Scented Teacup Candle Craft Workshop-Let’s make something cute together! How about a gnome-style gourd birdhouse and a scented candle? Come join Katy and her mom, Lisa, on Saturday, June 12, from 1pm – 3:30pm and make these two fun items. Cost: $25 per person – all materials provided. Fee must be paid in order to reserve your place. • Jun 12th- Celebrating Goats Goat Yoga & Painting-At Oh My Goat,Tickets:www.ohmygoatyoga.com – National Dairy Goat Day! PAINTING AT 4 P.M. AND YOGA AT 7 P.M. We will be celebrating goats with goat yoga, goat painting (see example in comments or event picture), complimentary goat cheeses and wine. As always 1 hour of yoga, use of our mat, pics with the goats. You do not have to do the painting you can just do yoga. Painting will be hosted by Chad Osborne of Art on Fire.

• June 18th – FISH FEST For Kids!  10am-12noon at Lower Lake Park in Palestine.  $5 per child includes snow cone, snacks, games, prizes and crafts.  Funds raised benefit Alzheimer awareness Association.
• Jun 19 -Unicorn Faire at Berfield Park, Tyler TX-Event is 10am to 4pm, Fun in the park, Elsa the unicorn (ONLY THERE UNTIL 2), Great vendors, food vendor {Subs & grubs} & Dj Andre Thompson for entertainment. Bring your camera!
• Jun 19 -Jazz Festival at High Hill Farms – Arp, Texas-Music, seafood & cocktails- 12626 County Road 217, Arp, Texas.

• June 19th- Dogwood Jamboree- Palestine High School, 6pm-9:30pm. The Dogwood Jamboree, a Branson-style Country music show is filled with family fun, laughter and great classic country music. • July 3^rd 2021 – Independence Day Celebration – City of Palestine Fireworks, Free Event. Steven Bennett Park. Join us for a Star Spangled Independence Day celebration at Steven Bennett Park. Bring your family and friends and don’t forget the lawn chairs! This event is free and open to the public.Fireworks begin at 9:15pm.
• July 3^rd– Saturdays on Main – Palestine, Texas. 10am. On the first Saturday of each month, Historic Downtown Palestine is the place to be! Explore quirky antique shops and boutiques. • July 4^th – Lake Jacksonville Fireworks show.  Lake Jacksonville Park, 2235 Byrd Rd, Jacksonville, TX. July 4th Beginning around 9pm. The Fireworks will be launched from barges in the main body of the lake, out from the mouth of Cat Creek.

July 9th-11th Weekend

• July 9^th and 10^th – Canton Balloon Fest – Canton, TX. The Tailwind Regional Balloon Fest is back for its 10th year in a row and this year things are going to be bigger and better than ever. The festival will be held on the West Side of the First Monday grounds.The festival will include:Hot Air Balloon Glows, Hot Air Balloon Rides (tethered and untethered), Food & Craft Vendors, The CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances 5k Glow Run!, Live Music. Kids Area, Train Rides, Car Show, Petting Zoo & Much more!
• July 10^th Cherokee Craft & Trade Fair – Jacksonville, TX. 10am-4pm at The Ruby Ballroom 707 College Avenue Jacksonville, TX, These events are so much fun, you will find items you didn’t know you needed. We have vendor that have handmade crafts, baked goods, authors, jewelry, artist with their creations, clothes, quilt & other sewn items, glasswares, candles, warmer & melts, cosmetics, embroidery items, electronics, nails, wood items, handmade pasta, Holiday themed items, kitchen wares, food vendors for breakfast & lunch and so much more. Free admission – when you bring a canned good and/or toiletries for local Hwy 69 Mission.

• July 12 – July 16th : Day Camp at Lakeview.  Day Camp at Lakeview will offer your child an extraordinary experience – right in your area! It’s the perfect option for kids entering 1st grade and up who want to enjoy summer camp, but are not quite ready to stay overnight.
