2. The Grinch’s Lair at the Historic Texas Jailhouse

2. The Redland Hotel & Queen St Grille

• Meet Santa Claus, His Elf, and Toy Soldier: On weekends from 10 AM to Noon, visit the main lobby to snap free photos with Santa Claus, his elf, and his Toy Soldier using your own camera.
• Stunning Holiday Décor: Our elves have meticulously decorated each suite and lobby area with beautiful Christmas trees and dazzling holiday decorations, ensuring photo opportunities at every turn.
• The Grinch’s Library: Step into the whimsical world of the Grinch and enjoy this unique themed area.
• Scavenger Hunt: Embark on a fun-filled scavenger hunt throughout the hotel and see if you can find all the special items hidden by our elves.
• Letters to Santa: Children can drop off their letters to Santa in the special mailbox located in the lobby.

4. Neighborhood Light Driving Tours

Many neighborhoods around Palestine Tx light up for the holidays with stunning decorations and classic charm. 5. Christmas Park Land of Lights– (Athens, TX)

This one is a bit of a drive, but worth it! Just outside of Athens, Texas, Christmas Park Land of Lights is a must-see. This drive-through display features over millions lights and even more holiday cheer. This family-friendly attraction is a local holiday favorite.  Land of Lights is open from 6 pm till 10 pm every year starting November 10th through the 3rd of January.  *CASH ONLY!*

It is located at Loop 7 and Patterson Road in the East Texas city of Athens. The park is more than 1 mile long and has over 4 million lights, including more than 60 different musical scenes and 50 motion-controlled lighted scenes in addition to 6 tunnels and 14 arches, and 2000 wood cutouts.
